In this thirteenth part of a series on the book of Acts, Joel Hardy describes the sending-out of Barnabas and Saul. He emphasizes how the early church did not simply "wait for the Lord", but they were active in sharing the gospel with others and building community. Because of this, the church was ready and able to send two of their key leaders to be missionaries and not miss a beat. Joel challenges us to answer our calling to be conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29) by being active in our church community while we wait on the Lord. The text is Acts 13:1-5.
